Technical writers are often faced with the challenge of effectively managing large and complex amounts of information and making it available in a targeted manner. This presentation will highlight the transformative power of modern content delivery, with a special focus on the "Audi Knowledge Tank" platform, which serves as an example of best practice. The Audi Knowledge Tank addresses these issues by implementing an innovative content delivery solution that enables seamless and efficient content delivery and updating. The platform integrates content management and product information management, enabling content to be organized efficiently and published consistently across different channels.
In this context, I will also present a proof of concept (PoC) to evaluate the effectiveness of an AI-driven chatbot in answering technical questions. Specifically, it was investigated to what extent the integration of an AI-driven chatbot into the Audi Knowledge Tank platform can further improve content delivery.

When introducing a content management system, the focus is often on the requirement to reproduce existing output formats such as data sheets, print catalogs or price lists as accurately as possible. The specific strengths of content management systems (modularization, metadata management) then make it possible to serve more modern communication channels that are more granular, individual and dynamic. Typically, however, both "old" and "new" formats are still in demand, and it is the task of system providers and consultants to configure systems that meet this dual requirement. From our project experience, we have compiled tips on how this balancing act can succeed.
