NovaDB 4.1 Release

This release again offers numerous improvements and new features: An enhanced web user interface, WebHooks service, improvements in the Core API and an extended Razor API, which aim to further improve efficiency and usability for technical users.

Würzburg, May 10, 2024 - Noxum GmbH, specialist for content management and editorial systems, is pleased to announce the availability of NovaDB 4.1.

Important updates in NovaDB 4.1:

• Enhanced web user interface: the historical view of objects has been enhanced to show a complete transaction history without suppressing entries. Users can now filter transactions by user and attribute, and there is a new detailed view for transactions.
• WebHooks Service: Introduced as a preview release, this service enables the conversion of Nova events into external API calls. This function is configurable through new system objects of the type "WebHook Definition" and aims to facilitate the integration of NovaDB into external systems.

Further development of the security architecture in NovaDB 4.1: Until now, external systems for key management have played an important role in the security architecture of many companies. NovaDB 4.1 now allows security-relevant processes to be controlled directly within the platform in the Core API and Razor API. More details here:

• Improvements in the Core API: With the introduction of a new "External API" object type for encapsulating endpoints and credentials to external APIs and updating the JavaScript engine to Jint 3.0, NovaDB 4.1 strengthens its capabilities as the central nervous system for digital business processes.
• Enhanced Razor API: This now enables the integration of return values from "External API" calls into both server-side and client-side code, increasing application customizability and interactivity.

End of support for older versions: With the introduction of NovaDB 4.1, support for versions 3.4 and older will be discontinued. Customers are strongly encouraged to upgrade their systems in a timely manner to take advantage of the latest enhancements and continued support.
